Antananarivo
Isofemale lines were collected in Antananarivo, Madagascar in March 1998. Of the 69 lines, 40 had the haplotype siII: 19 were infected with the wAu Wolbachia strain and 21 were uninfected. 29 of the lines had the haplotype siIII and were uninfected.
   Antsirabe
Isofemale lines were collected in Antsirabe, Madagascar in March 1998. Of the 60 lines, 40 had the haplotype siII: 21 were infected with the wAu Wolbachia strain and 19 were uninfected. 20 of the lines had the haplotype siIII: five were infected with the wMa Wolbachia strain and 15 were uninfected.
   
Joffreville
Isofemale lines were collected in Joffreville, Madagascar in March 1998. Of the 32 lines, 15 had the haplotype siII: 11 were infected with the wAu Wolbachia strain and four were uninfected. 17 of the lines had the haplotype siIII: six were infected with the wMa Wolbachia strain and 11 were uninfected.
Ranomafana
Isofemale lines were collected in Ranomafana, Madagascar in March 1998. Of the 30 lines, 21 had the haplotype siII: 12 were infected with the wAu Wolbachia strain and nine were uninfected. Nine of the lines had the haplotype siIII: two were infected with the wMa Wolbachia strain and seven were uninfected.
   
Ambositra
Isofemale lines were also collected in Ambositra, Madagascar in March 1998. Of the 11 lines, seven had the haplotype siII and were infected with the wAu Wolbachia strain. Four of the lines had the haplotype siIII:  three were infected with the wMa Wolbachia strain and one was uninfected.
