Chicha-jima Island
Isofemale lines were collected on the Chicha-jima Island in Japan in 1994. All 34 lines had the siII haplotype: six of these lines were infected with the wAu Wolbachia strain and 28 were uninfected. 
   Chiba
Isofemale lines were collected in Chiba, Japan in October 2000. All 52 lines had the siII haplotype: 48 of these lines were infected with the wRi Wolbachia strain and four were uninfected. 
  
Miyuki-no-hana
Isofemale lines were also collected in Miyuki-no-hana, Japan in 1997. Of the six lines collected, all had the haplotype siII: one was infected with the wAu Wolbachia strain and five were uninfected.
Tajima
Isofemale lines were also collected in Tajima, Japan in 1997. Of the 10 lines collected, all had the haplotype siII: four were infected with the wAu Wolbachia strain and six were uninfected. 
  
Ogasawara
Isofemale lines were also collected in Ogasawara, Japan in 1996. Of the seven lines collected all had the haplotype siII: one was infected with the wAu Wolbachia strain, one was infected with wRi, and five were uninfected.
